 This course is a continuation of Speaking 1, and has the same aims: to improve your English speaking skills through the review and practice of basic English, the preparation and delivery of short speeches, and vocabulary development.

 Constant practice is required to gain, improve or maintain language proficiency. You cannot passively acquire English speaking skills. Speaking 2 is your opportunity to use English to speak on familiar topics with a native English speaker to help and guide you. Improvement of basic English speaking skills, especially verb tense accuracy, and increasing active vocabulary are specific objectives of this course.

 Although the title of this course is gSpeaking,h we will also do some reading for pronunciation and listening practice to enhance your English speaking ability. I will give demonstrations and general guidance about what I expect you to do. I will also provide individual help with your English. Vocabulary development will be pursued through homework.
